Pyrite ps. Pyrrhotite
The Nikolaevskiy Mine, opened in 1982 and mined for its sulfides, was justifiably famous for that suite of minerals, as well as for Fluorites and Quartz. Pyrrhotites from there can be exceptionally sharp, and you can still see two of the edges of the original, hexagonal blade preserved in the pseudo. The replacement Pyrite, which varies from euhedral to freeform, has a fantastic luster and unusually colorful patina, so the look is quite bold. Pyrite from here seems to be uncommon, so this aesthetic miniature has several things going for it.
