Quartz (Var: Smoky Quartz)
A superb cabinet smoky quartz scepter from recent finds at Hallelujah Junction, Nevada. A 6.0 cm, glassy, doubly terminated, light smoky quartz crystal rests on the pedestal of a preferentially etched, translucent, darker smoky quartz crystal. The scepter has interesting internal shading and crazing, and the backside has skeletal and stepped-face features. This is a classic and excellent larger scepter from this locale. Ex.
