Smithsonite (Fluorescent) on Willemite (Fluorescent)
This is one of the sparkliest, most interesting Tsumeb combination piece I have had. Smithsonite and Willemite are certainly two of Tsumeb's prize species, and together they make a rare, and exemplary combination piece. The sky-blue Willemite is translucent to gemmy, and it has a brilliant blue-white fluorescence. The Cuprian Smithsonite is composed of apple green, gemmy, and lustrous mm-size crystals, generously coating much of the Willemite. In addition, the Smithsonite has an exceptional, fiery scarlet fluorescence the likes of which I have not seen before in a Smithsonite. The fluorescent combination here is almost breathtaking. No matter what type of light you look at this under, the aesthetics are top-notch. Also, it is complete 360 degrees around. All in all, a unique specimen. Ex. Art Soregaroli Collection
