A SUPERB example of this classic and unique occurrence, with a large "ball" of gypsum crystals from which two equant, pristine, twinned crystals radiate out from either end. It has been nicknamed "The Golden Snitch" in the office, and it really does look like the ball grew wings. While we have seen many small examples of this style, usually with only one twin or a number of unbalanced twins, this one stands out for its geometry as a specimen. Joe Budd photos.
