Brookite, Quartz
Classic, brilliant metallic-black, orthorhombic brookite crystals are perched on matrix with sharp quartz crystals on this fine specimen from the famous mines at Magnet Cove, Arkansas. The crowning large crystal is 1.2 cm and the primary crystals are in good shape. What look to be dings are natural impressions or contacts with no damage. Excellent, older material for the species and locality. Ex. John Ydren Collection.
