Calcite (Twinned)
This is a highly rare thumbnail example of the classic gemmy calcite twins, that came out in the 1960s-1970s from this now-forgotten Mexican mine. We have seen larger specimens in old collections, but as with most places of the era, few thumbnails were recovered and preserved. This is a fine, transparent, complete crystal, and a stunning calcite thumbnail.
