Spinel
A fine, translucent to transparent, gem crystal of spinel measuring just a hair over 1 cm, perched on marble matrix. This is a classic example of Burmese spinels, now harder to obtain since the US embargo on this country. An old specimen, bought by a collector friend direct from the source dealer in Germany about 5 years ago. The color of these Burma spinels is truly stunning, and beautiful set against its stark matrix. Ex. Graw Collection.
