Vanadinite
An excellent and colorful small cabinet locality piece due its incredible color, luster, sparkle and contrast, and it is NOT from Morocco as are all the other pretty Vanadinites out there online. The Pure Potential Mine, or North Geronimo Mine as it has also been referred to, has produced some amazing Vanadinites in recent and past history with the most notable finds in the late 1990s, which this piece could be from. A variegated charcoal and reddish colored breccia matrix is host to numerous 1 to 6 mm platy, hexagonal Vanadinite crystals grouped in aesthetic fashion on the prominent display face. Drusy groups of sparkling, tiny crystals are scattered everywhere in patches on the piece followed by larger (3 to 6 mm) crystals, all of which have great luster. It sits well for display in a couple of orientations. This small cabinet example has excellent color and form for the locality. From the Les Presmyk specialist collection of Arizona Minerals.
