Augelite
These specimens are some of the most attractive Augelite specimens from the historic San Jose mine. This specimen was collected during WWII and from the personal collection of Federico Ahlfeld. This piece features relatively large, lustrous, sharp, translucent crystals of the rare phosphate Augelite. If you look closely, the main Augelite crystal has a Jamesonite "phantom" inside of it. This is the only Augelite crystal with a "phantom" inside of it. To the best of my knowledge, this is the only mine in the world where Jamesonite and Augelite are found together. There were only a handful of these specimens found, and the section of the mine that produced these pieces is long mined out.
