Molybdenite
By the early part of the 20th Century the mines at Kingsgate were nearly exhausted, so this is undoubtedly an old specimen. Packed around a quartz matrix core are several complex crystal clusters of molybdenite exhibiting their unique powder-metallic luster, aesthetic radiating pattern, and a good 3-dimensionality. The largest crystal measures nearly 7 cm across. Weighs 665 grams.
