Garnet Var. Demantoid
This specimen is one of the richest pieces overall, that was recovered. It has dozens of crystals to over 1 cm, perched on matrix! For whatever reason, these specimens seldom were found in rich clusters, as opposed to single crystals far apart on matrix that was very difficult to break and open. From new finds in a remote part of Iran in late 2013, these premiered at the Tucson show of 2014.
