Beryl (Var: Heliodor)
This is a doubly terminated, barrel shaped crystal of rare TRULY GOLDEN color unlike most so-called greenish heliodor. The color is a bright YELLOW and is extremely gemmy as you see. There is some evidence that this specimen also underwent etching and both terminations show signs of breaking and natural rehealing in the pocket. Although the back faces are broken, it displays well from the front. Although I am a mineral purist, a HUGE stone could be cut from this piece as it is almost entirely of lapidary and gem quality inside RARE material mined in the 60s from Green Walking Stick Mine, Karoi, Zimbabwe 3.7 x 2.9 x 2.9 cm
