Cylindrite
A fine and rich specimen of metallic-bright, elongated cylindrite crystals on matrix from Poopo, Bolivia. Cylindrite is a rare lead, tin, iron, antimony sulfosalt with characteristic crystals that look cylindrical (hence its name) - a mineralogical freak of nature. All three sides of the wedge-shaped matrix are richly invested with cylindrite crystals that reach 2.0 cm. Such specimens have not been found in quantity in some years. Ex. Mullane Collection.
