Gold
An excellent two-piece set of sculptural and bright, hackly and microcrystalline gold with a bit of quartz from the Placerville area of California. The showy, feathery-looking specimens have a couple of hoppered octahedrons and the smaller gold has a bit of embedded quartz. "Hangtown" is probably appropriately named for those who tried to steal gold from the rightful owners and were caught. These pieces were mined in 1969.
