Andradite (Var: Demantoid)
The Val Malenco became famous amongst mineralogists and collectors for the finds of these very rare green demantoid garnets. Here are four crystals, to 0.5 cm, with sharp faces and fine luster and gemminess, embedded in matrix. Ex. Bill Larson Collection.
