Bismuth
Brilliant, silver-metallic plates of native bismuth richly cover one face of this rich ore specimen from a very uncommon Zimbabwe locality - the Mistress Mine. Veinlets of native bismuth crisscross the brecciated quartz matrix on this older specimen from a district that produced gold and rare bismuth tellurium minerals. Additional rare minerals are probably in these veins. Weighs 263 grams. Ex. J.P. Gliddon and Wesley Stark Collections.
