Baryte
This specimen is at least 30 years old, and possibly older as it resembles other Black Cloud Barytes that I have seen which were found in the 1960s and 1970s. This area has produced some of the finest Barytes from Colorado. The Black Cloud mine is well known for it's sulfide specimens, but it has also produced some of the classic "golden" Baryte for which the Leadville Mining District is renowned. Here we have gorgeous display piece with "chisel"-shaped, gemmy, lustrous, bladed, "phantom" golden Baryte crystals.
