Wavellite
A series of shallow pockets rich with large, sparkly spheres of wavellite from the prime worldwide locality for the species. The wavellite balls measure to 1.3 cm across. At the edges of the pockets, you can see partial spheres that show the radial growth of the acicular crystals that make up the spheres. Better color in person, a fine rich pea-green. A very large and rich wavellite specimen, from the collection of Dave Stoudt.
