Galena with Quartz$850.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
The famous mining of Stríbro (Mies in German) is named from the Czech word for silver which was historically mined there from the 12th century. Located about 20 miles west of the city of Plzen, Stríbro has produced some of the best crystals of Galena in the whole of Czechia. This very fine small cabinet specimen from Hans Engelbrecht's collection (no. 509) features a dense aggregate of well developed cubic, shiny, blue-grey metallic Galena crystals with a nice 'icing' layer of glassy white Quartz crystals coating one side of the largest crystal. The crystals are in good condition on their display side and with support this piece will look great positioned upright with the larger crystal at the top. Although there is no original collection date recorded (other than Engelbrecht acquired it from Vladimir Karel in Pribram), similar specimens have been seen with the year 1972 noted.
