NATIVE Silver$400.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
A flat, somewhat featureless long thin mass of leaf-like tarnished Native Silver from Isle Royal mines at Portage Township, Houghton County. Nevertheless, Native Silver is far rarer than Native Copper in the Michigan mines and at 8 cm in length this is a notable size mass of Native Silver for the Isle Royal mines. The outer surfaces are smooth where it has rubbed against something else, but whether that is from handling or naturally within its original geological environment is unclear. The smooth surfaces are more silvery-white, with other areas tarnished darker indicating some considerable age. Ex David Hardman Collection, who began collecting during the early 1960s and who specialized in Michigan coppers.
