Serpierite
Serpierite is relatively uncommon hydrated calcium, copper, zinc sulfate and this very fine and rich specimen is from the Type Locality - the Serpieri Mine at Laurium, Greece. Beautiful, turquoise-blue, radial clusters of sparkly serpierite micro-needles richly cover the matrix, which also includes sprays of primary malachite needles. Excellent material from this ancient locale, which was old at the time of the Classical Greeks.
