Tolvas Duales Pocket, 1100 Level, Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Santa Cruz Municipality, Sonora, Mexico 11.0 x 7.5 x 2.3 cm This undamaged azurite specimen has that electric blue color that makes the Milpillas Mine so famous, as well as the new standard for quality azurite specimens. This stunning specimen has graced the collections of Gerhard Wagner and Frank Imbriacco III, two renowned collectors, and we are honored to have the specimen in our museum collection. This particular piece was from the left-most side of the famed "Tolvas Duales Pocket" and has a bit of the ideal velvety malachite matrix to provide that little pop. With crystals measuring to 2.6cm, this piece really has it all in terms of color, condition, and size. To have a piece of this size that is completely undamaged is a remarkable feat. This piece was formerly in the collections of Gerhard Wagner, Frank Imbriacco III, and Andrew K. Ford. Photographs by Jordan Root
