Description
This small cabinet specimen from Tsumeb displays the classic association of murky, pale camouflage-green Duftite coating rhombic Calcite crystals. The Calcite crystals are opaque white and exceptionally reach 1.5 cm on edge, but most average 1 cm. Many contain extremely fine-grained pale emerald green Dioptase inclusions within their outermost layer with the finely crystallized Duftite preferentially favouring certain crystal faces on the Calcite, leaving others fresh. A second, later phase of tiny rhombic Calcite microcrystals are scattered upon the Duftite. A fine displayable classic from Tsumeb.
