Description
This lovely thumbnail Olivenite is from the famous old European mining area of Horní Slavkov (Schlaggenwald) in the Czech Republic where Olivenite is well-known, but extremely rare. The Olivenite forms delicate velvety green acicular sprays coating an aggregate of small prismatic Quartz crystals. Under magnification these sprays can be seen to form fan-like aggregates which are in great condition. Mounted on an acrylic base for handling and display. Ex Hans Engelbrecht collection (no. 2968) with his original label.
