Mankind has had a love affair with Amethyst for centuries. It was one of the “cardinal gems,” revered above all others for its intense purple color. This specimen is composed of a single, large crystal with sumptuous, deep violet color and a dramatically peaked termination. With wonderful translucency and glasslike faces, this is an exceptional example of the species.
