Editor's note
This is a single crystal of stibnite from China which looks like sword that formed in the ground. Ironically it comes from the largest deposit of antimony in the world, located in China and centuries ago antimony was used to make weapons and ammunition. This would make for a great signature interior piece or fir well into metallic specimen collection. It is very different from clusters of stibnite that look like a prop from "Game of Thrones" but is just as cool.

Description
A modern day classic from China. Like a sword, this 16 cm long shining grey metallic bladed crystal of Stibnite, has sharp narrow edges and an angled pointed termination. It is from the famous early 21st century discoveries at Xikuangshan Sb Deposit in Hunan Province, China, that really redefined what we expect of Stibnite crystals. Prior to that find we had the showy 'star-burst' sprays of generally smaller prismatic crystals from Romania and the historic large, but often damaged, bladed prismatic crystals from Japan. This individual off-matrix crystal is very bright and has remarkably little damage to the edges, sides, or tip.

Stibnite Sales Data
How this data is collected: Our system continuously monitors mineral listings from authorized dealer partners across the internet. We have explicit permission from all dealers whose listings we track - any dealers who have not provided specific and explicit authorization are NOT listed and NOT tracked by our system. When a previously available listing is marked as sold or removed from sale, we record this as a completed transaction. While we cannot guarantee the exact final sale price (as negotiations may occur), this data represents publicly listed prices for specimens that have transitioned from "for sale" to "sold" status. This provides valuable market insights based on observable listing behavior patterns.
