A classic crystallised dome of Boulangerite-included Calcite displaying a fabulous layered structure on the underside of the specimen with occasional crystals of colourless-white glassy Quartz. Although bucking with tradition, I personally think this specimen needs to be displayed with its base as the star attraction. The central spherical core and perfectly concentric shell-like layers are superb, looking like a cross section of a planet, or perhaps Star Wars Imperial Empire's Death Star, not that I know what this looks like in cross-section as R2D2 has the plans! A fine example of this unusual habit from the Herja mine in Maramure? County, Romania.
