Djurleite on Quartz$2,000.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Djurleite, a relatively rare copper sulphide, forms magnificent black straited crystals on a matrix of bright lustrous Quartz crystals. This specimen is from the Dzhezkazgan mining district of Karaganda Region in Kazakhstan where ten ore-bearing sandstone members occur in a Carboniferous (Pennsylvanian) sedimentary sequence. Specimens of Djurleite are often represented in collections as drab granular grey sulphides. This fantastic specimen is superbly crystallised and is an excellent example of its species.
