Cerussite
Cerussite, 19 cm, from the Tsumeb mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia. The Tsumeb mine is famous for producing many world-class specimens, including superb reticulated twins of cerussite like the one shown here, probably collected from the second oxidation zone in the 1970s, but perhaps dating back to the first oxidation zone. It was purchased in Namibia by William M. Ryan, and donated to the Museum.
